The Thing in the Basement

The Thing in the Basement

And deep the rabbithole goes.  You reach a damp, cold and foggy cellar.  The light has changed and the smell has become uncomfortable.  You feel as you are way below any cellar or tomb could ever go and you should ever be.  Some thing are best left unexplored, you think to yourself as a wicked, utterly weird lifeform appears from the unworldly mist.  You try as hard you can to not make any eyecontact but it is unavoidable.  The thing and you stare at one another.  You don't even think about its impossible body, its unimaginable limbs.  You stare.  You fear.  You want to get out of here.  And you

run.  You run, run, RUN!  You take all the stairs up, up, UP!
Or you hide in the fog, you keep yourself safe in the fog - wait, you're lost in this fog!
