The Fable

Fabulas poetae a fando nominaverunt quia sunt res factae sed tantum loquendo fictae


So what is the story about?  As you reach the top of the castle, another ghostly figure approaches and speaks in a gentle voice:  "Fabulas poetae a fando nominaverunt quia sunt res factae sed tantum loquendo fictae."

You stare at the figure in utter silence, because, really, who speaks Latin these days, let alone understand it?  The ghost looks at you and in your mind, you hear the translation: "Poets have called 'fables' after the word 'speaking', because they haven't happen for real, but are made up by words."

And there it is.  The story is only about the words.  In their own way, in their own fashion.  It is all a made up story, made up from words, accompanied by images.  You are seeing, living, reading the fable as it is being told.  And as you are making your choices in the fable.  The story within the story.  And as the story reaches its completion, you can
